Surf Life Saving Australia National Awards Of Excellence

In 2021, the annual event will take place virtually on Saturday, November 6 due to COVID-19 restrictions and will consist of both live in studio presentations as well as virtual interviews and appearances from members across Australia.

The SLSA Awards of Excellence will be live from 5:30PM (AEDT) on Saturday November 6 and will be streamed via the SLSA Facebook page.

DHL Surf Lifesaver of the Year

An active patrolling member who has made an outstanding contribution to the delivery and development of surf lifesaving frontline services.

The DHL Surf Lifesaver of the Year recognises and rewards members who have made an outstanding contribution to the delivery and development of surf lifesaving frontline services. It is aimed at active surf lifesavers undertaking lifesaving duties and who can be presented as an identifiable “Ambassador” for Surf Lifesaving.

DHL Lifeguard of the Year

An Australian Lifeguard Service Lifeguard who has made an outstanding contribution to the delivery and development of lifeguard services.

The DHL Lifeguard of the Year recognises and rewards Australian Lifeguard Service employees who have made an outstanding contribution to the delivery and development of lifeguard services.

DHL Volunteer of the Year

An impressive member who has made a difference through their volunteering efforts.

The DHL Volunteer of the Year recognises an individual who has demonstrated achievements in a range of different areas of a club or surf lifesaving service organisation throughout the year, or who has shown significant and outstanding achievements in one particular area.

The individual’s contribution demonstrably enhances the development of surf lifesaving.

DHL Club of the Year

An outstanding SLS-affiliated club that is committed to improving the experience of its members, providing a safer environment for the community, and improving club operations.

The DHL Club of the Year encourages and recognises outstanding achievements in club development that results in SLSA clubs providing safer beach and aquatic environments for the community.
